The new text is drawn with the font that is already in the PDF, using the same size, color, letter spacing and position. If all works out, the new text blends in with the rest of the page, so your fix looks like it was always there.

Yes and also no. You can change the texts from your PDF file, but the system will not automatically edit anything around it. That means that you should not try to replace something with new text that is significantly different in length.

Sometimes. A scanned PDF contains images of the pages rather than editable text and embedded fonts. This tool uses OCR (optical character recognition) to recognize the text and estimate a matching font.
Clear English scans work best. The scan needs a resolution of at least 120 DPI, without excessive blur, tilting or noise. Non-Latin characters and other languages may not be recognized accurately. Scans that are too poor to edit reliably can be rejected. This is not magic. It cannot edit everything.
For editable text, the tool reuses the original font where possible, along with its size, color and spacing. If new characters are missing from the embedded font, a substitute font may be used. Check the preview and any font warnings before downloading.
For scanned text, the closest matching font is an estimate because the scan contains no original font data.
No, not really. Your data is never safe if you upload it to some random websites like this one. That is just the reality of things.
If you upload a PDF file for editing, it is uploaded to my server for the analysis, editing and rebuilding. Your PDF file is deleted automatically after 2 hours, or immediately after you click the Delete From Server button.
